Enterprise and Innovation in the Food System

On April 22, we hosted the Social Innovation + Enterprise in the Food System Panel to discuss the importance and future of social enterprise in our food system.

The biggest take away? Just get started!

Our deepest appreciation to Emily Bland, Seed-EO at SucSeed, Viviana Ramírez Luna, founder of Planeet Consulting, and Pamela Anstey the Executive Director of St. John’s Farmers’ Market.

Each panelist shared their experience of what it’s really like to start - and grow - a social enterprise.

Missed the session? You can now watch a recording on the Food First NL YouTube channel!

We hope this panel sparked an idea you’d like to see!

For folks in St. John’s, consider pitching your idea at the St. John's Food System Kickstarter! All participants will have access to a supportive community of coaches and funders. Over $5000 in prizes will be awarded to support emerging program delivery methods, improved governance and decision-making, or innovative partnerships at part of the St. John's Food Assessment.
